Russian classes meet once per week for a 2-hour lesson*. At each level, the program length is 8 weeks. We offer levels 1 to 6 and beyond.
HIGHLIGHTS: Experienced and qualified teachers, structured teaching, communicative approach, and measurable results.
TEXTBOOK: Beginner’s Russian (A. Kudyma, F. Miller, O. Kagan; Hippocrene Books). The textbook is not included in the price.
While we use the prescribed textbook throughout the course, the lesson plans exhibit teacher’s experience and the adaptability skills in view of the classroom's changing needs. We believe that using a textbook yields the best results for beginner and intermediate students. Therefore, it’s advisable to buy the prescribed textbook(s). They also provide explanatory information that may be useful for a questioning adult student and for homework.

Semenova, I. (Instructor)
With a master’s degrees from Dnipropetrovsk State University, and a native Russian speaker with fluency in English and Ukrainian, Ms. Semenova specializes in teaching Russian to adult learners. She is certified in the Teaching Knowledge Test (TKT) Modules 1–3 and qualified as a translator of scientific and technical literature. Ms Semenova is known for strong organization, adaptability, and a learner-centered approach, and passionate about helping students build confidence in communication through personalized instruction and real-life language practice. Ms Semenova is committed to making language learning clear, practical, and enjoyable for adult learners at all levels.
